Squirrel's Nest Shoot

We shot Squirrel's Nest on Saturday morning with Heidi Woeller and Richard Briggs.
Squirrel's Nest is a strange comedy about a bickering husband his wife and the judgmental squirrel that lives in their backyard.

The Plot:
Lila (Woeller) insists that her husband (Briggs) knock down the squirrel's nest that is firmly woven into the tree in their backyard. Lila believes the squirrel's nest is the source of their marital problems. She won't rest until he knocks the nest down...
The rigors:
The shoot was grueling, but a riot. Heidi and Richard showed up camera-ready at 7:30AM for the shoot. Richard had to climb up and down the tree (sometimes thirty feet in the air) at least a dozen times that day. Heidi endured having squirrel's nest debris sprinkled, thrown and pelted at her for a large portion of the morning.

Acting is glamorous.

After all the climbing, throwing, falling and swearing, we wrapped the film at 10:30AM and Jesse immediately started digitizing.

We are looking forward to showing you this film, and many others Thursdays--Saturdays at Octane at 8:30PM. $5 Donation.
