So what is CURB APPEAL about?
This film is about the current housing crisis told from the POV of a homeless man. He sees the same oily Realtor selling lofts to arrogant young couples suffering from CE (Chronic Entitlementitis.) Meanwhile the homeless around the Mighty Transaction puke cheap booze on the curb.
The film mocks the generic terminology of the real estate business (cozy, warm neutral tones, curb appeal etc.) and speaks to the collective conscience of those who have at one time or another “lived beyond their means.”
To be clear, I personally suffer from my own case of CE but have free of this pesky illness for several years now. I have also, at one time, lived beyond my means. I tell you this because I want you to know I don't think I'm above and beyond being an idiot.
Moving on, Jesse and I hope to convey the aforementioned synopsis via the following words:
REALTOR INSIDE
SELLING ANOTHER COZY LOFT
BOASTING ITS WARM (YET NEUTRAL!) TONES
I CAN BARF RIGHT NOW.
I PROMISE THAT IT, TOO, WILL BE WARM
AND OF NEUTRAL TONES.
CURB APPEAL.
We have a fantastic cast in the works. Once everything is finalized, we will announce who these fine people are.
Thanks, Connie
